Q: How is State Reintegration different from any other type of reintegration services?

State Reintegration services are for youth sent to one of the seven State facilities:

Youth Forestry Camp # 2 (YFC#2), Youth Forestry Camp #3 (YFC#3), North Central Secure Treatment Unit (NCSTU), South Mountain Secure Treatment Unit (SMSTU), Loysville Youth Development Center (LYDC), Cresson Secure Treatment Unit (CSTU), New Castle Youth Development Center (NCYDC) .

Q: What Counties in the State do you serve?

20 counties in PA opted in through the needs based budget process, they are as follows: Adams, Armstrong, Chester, Columbia, Crawford, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Greene, Huntingdon, Indiana, Lancaster, Northumberland, Philadelphia, Pike, Tioga, Venango, Warren, Westmoreland, York.

Q: What is the goal of the State Reintegration Program?

Our main goal is to help youth coming out of State placement facilities re-integrate back into their communities safely, with an emphasis on family involvement and community supports, including assistance with educational and employment goals; all of which will ultimately reduce rates of recidivism.

Q: What is the difference between SRP and Probation?

SRP is a community based program that acts as the liaison between probation, the facilities, the home community. We work with probation to make sure clients successfully complete all probation goals in addition to the agreed upon SRP goals that the client is interested in achieving.
